Kawasaki Ninja 250 Clutch Basket Free Play

This is a video of a defective clutch basket. I bought it from a guy on ebay who claims to have checked the free play before shipping. Needless to say I was not very happy when I took it out of the box to find that it had nearly a quarter inch of free play. This is not something that could have been missed if it were actually inspected. This part is actually a composite part made from several different parts. You can see a steel gearset and an aluminum clutch basket. Hidden between them are several rubber donuts that dampen the connection between the engine and transmission. When the rubber goes, the part is bad because now you have an undampened metal on metal connection. Any free play is an indicator of missing or damaged rubber donuts.
