Nokia 6303 Review

The Nokia 6303 is a candy-bar shaped mobile phone that is targeting the middle of the market. It measures 108.8 x 46.2 x 11.7 mm and weighs a light 96 grams. It will be available in two colours, namely Black matted or steel silver, and the screen is 2.2 inches. Overall the Nokia 6303 looks and feels solid and has classic Nokia good looks.

There is a built-in music player which will support all the popular music formats such as AAC, AAC, MP3 and MP4. Nokia have included a 3.5mm jack which means you can add your own headphones. An FM Radio is also included.

Camera-wise, it has 3.2 mega pixels, with autofocus and 8 times digital zoom. There is also an LED flash, which although not as good as a Xenon Flash, works very well. This will not necessarily compete with a Sony Ericsson Cybershot phone, but does have some clever camera features like Still shot, video shot, using a timer, and sequence shot. Internal memory is set with 64 mega bytes, but this can be increased by using a MicroSD card.

Internet connection is good and you can use EDGE, Bluetooth or GPRS. All internet formats are supported and the phone is preloaded with the Nokia Mini Browser and Nokia Mobile Search. Applications, apart from the standard ones like a calendar, alarm and to do list, include a handsfree speaker and Nokia Maps.

The Nokia 6303 mobile phone, might not be the most advanced or most unique looking phone in the market, but it supplies exactly what the masses are looking for. That is, classic looks with a modern feel, good internet connection, decent music player and a camera that takes print quality pictures. This is definitely not a niche phone and will appeal to the middle of the market.

Multiprocess Welding Machine - Longevity Welders - And a Chinese Tig Welder Review

Have you seen the multi-process welding machine that Longevity advertises?

Maybe you have been thinking of buying one of these Chinese Tig Welders but you have been wondering if they  are any good at all?

The features of Longevity 160 amp multi-process welders are kind of impressive: 160 amps, ability to tig weld aluminum, can also be used as a plasma cutter and stick welder...Wow!

A good Miller, Lincoln, or Thermadyne Tig Welder Inverter will cost you well over 3000 dollars by the time you get all the extra welding supplies you need  like foot pedal, tig torch, flowmeter, ground clamp and all.

Longevity welders do not have some of the advanced features like A/C waveshaping that the Miller Dynasty 200DX and The Lincoln Invertec v205t have, but the basic features actually are similar...and you cant use the Miller or the Lincoln as a plasma cutter.

So it is very intriguing when you see a Chinese Tig Welder that will also do plasma cutting and stick welding, advertised for around 750 dollars with all the accessories included.

What?  750 dollars? That is like one fourth the cost of a Miller or Lincoln A/C DC tig welder.

So you start wondering to yourself, Is a Lincoln or  Miller tig welder 4 times better?  Am I paying for a name?  That's a lot of money for just a name.

I spent the last several hours looking on internet forums, welding websites, and eBay feedback reports and guess what? The jury is still out on Chinese Tig Welders.  You can find good reviews, bad reviews, and mixed reviews on Chinese tig welders. A lot of the reviews I read were about how the chinese tig welder arrived  somewhat non-functional and damaged in shipment and that a customer phone support call was all it took for the support team to talk the buyer through fixing a loose connection.

And somehow, that was looked upon as a good thing.

Book Review - Healing Back Pain - The Mind-Body Connection (Dr John E Sarno)

Introduction:

TMS has to do with the manifestation of emotional and psychological conditions in the soft tissue surrounding the spine and consequently emerging as the major cause for pain in the neck, shoulder, back, buttocks and limbs. Although the painful yet benign syndrome is brought on mainly by stress, the cause can be a wide range of latent emotional issues.

Dr Sarno suggests that the acceptance and treatment of TMS as a legitimate syndrome may be deemed a "holistic" approach because unlike conventional medicine, TMS is treated not by addressing the symptoms, but by identifying them and then treating the underlying cause rooted in emotional and psychological factors. Having faced negative attention from his contemporaries himself, he backs up his claim with many testimonials at the end of the book, from TMS affected patients that he successfully cured.

The Four W's:

Who - TMS is a cradle-to-grave disorder affecting people of all ages. However on a general note, people between 30-60 years of age have been found to be the most affected. Since this age group is also the "maximum stress" group with most responsibility, stress is accepted as the most common cause of TMS.

Where - As the name suggests, the most affected soft tissue in TMS are muscle (myo) and also peripheral nerves. In some cases, there can be accompanying pain in tendons or ligaments, which tends to disappear once the back pain is treated.

What - TMS usually occurs as a sudden acute attack with an excruciating pain most commonly affecting the lower back and buttocks. However many people also report a gradual beginning to the pain, which is usually localized in the neck and shoulders to later move further down the back.

When - Acute or slow, the timing of the pain can only be determined by the patients' psychological state at the time, with a physical incident acting merely as a trigger. He explains a delayed onset reaction wherein a person sails through tough stressful times without a hiccup, but develops TMS later due to the accumulated anxiety.

Psychology and Physiology:

In an attempt to stress his point about TMS being a psychological phenomenon rather than a structural aberration in the spine or muscle deficiency, Sarno does tend to get rather repetitive. But he gets the point across. Repressed unacceptable emotions which give rise to tension and physical or emotional stress are two of the major causes of TMS. Differentiating between the conscious and unconscious mind and keeping a safe distance from psychiatric jargon, Sarno reflects on how various psychological factors such as low self-esteem, narcissism, fear, anxiety, anger and unnatural repression of natural traits will at some point or the other cause the body to retaliate and defend itself-consequently manifesting as back pain.

As for the physiology of TMS, the basics are already pointed out in the first chapter. Although the explanation is a bit heavy with a lot of medical terms, in a nutshell, the physiology of TMS can be said to be represented by certain emotional states that cause mild oxygen deprivation of the abovementioned soft tissues. This dearth of oxygen is the primary cause for the pain, sensory abnormalities and muscle control deficits.

Talk to your brain:

The treatment of TMS is as non-linear as the concept itself with the focus being on understanding the nature of the disorder and training oneself to act on it and change the brain's behavior. Simply being aware of the potential psychological causes of the pain and telling one's brain that one is not helpless and intimidated can actually cause the pain to go away. Such is the power of volition.

Sarno also urges patients to get over fears of the pain relapses, to resume all kinds of normal physical activity including the more rigorous ones as well as discontinue all physical treatment or therapy. However he is very careful to mention in various instances throughout, that the book is not meant for self diagnosis but is merely an introduction to a newly discovered syndrome. He clearly states that TMS should be diagnosed and treated only after a thorough medical exam of the back has been conducted yielding no conclusive evidence of spinal aberrations. As an important part of the treatment, Sarno asks patients to review daily reminders of what TMS actually is and list out possible causes for the syndrome.

Overall, the book is a bold venture into a realm which is still not considered "solid" medicine owing to its subtle nature. However Dr Sarno's reputation as a professor of Clinical Rehabilitation Medicine at the NYU School of Medicine, and attending physician at the Howard A Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine at NYU Medical Centre, his many years of research into the syndrome and the large number of patients who have benefited from his work, certainly adds credibility to the book.

If you are suffering from any of the symptoms mentioned, if you are brave enough to try something out-of-the-box, if you have an open mind and if you wish to heal yourself naturally, this book may serve as a potentially explorable avenue for a safe alternative remedy to back pain.

5th Airborne Sidewinder Arm Assembly Review - etrailer.com

www.etrailer.com Videos are provided as a guide only. Refer to manufacturer installation instructions and specs for complete information. Today we are going to show you part number 5AS02 from 5th Airborne. This is the 5th Airborne Sidewinder Arm Assembly. And what this part does is basically it replaces the pin box on your fifth-wheel trailer and actually pushes the pivot point back away from the truck, which allows a short-bed pickup to pull a fifth-wheel trailer without the need of a slider assembly. And this can also be used on pickup trucks with less than a 6-foot bed, also. The first component is the Sidewinder arm itself, from here to here. This will actually shove the pivot point from the pin box back toward where the original pin box was on the trailer. This is the actual pivot point right here. And this is where our second component, called a turret, gets bolted onto a trailer itself, and it rotates here. The next component we will show you is actually right here, and that is the heavy-duty shock. And that absorbs road bumps and vibrations, so it will give your trailer a nice, smooth ride. And next, if you follow the air line, on the right-hand side, follow it all the way back until it turns red. And then, as it goes behind a steel plate there, is actually the air bag itself, which cushions the ride, and thus gives its name, the 5th Airborne. And this pivot point right here is where the whole operation hinges on. What happens is that this plate here with the king ...

Today we are going to show you part number SR25733 from Softride. This is their steel Tightening Ball Mount. This part number is for the 2-inch version. This is also available in 4-inch and 6-inch versions, too. A few features of this ball mount are that it comes complete with a wedge and tightening hitch pin to combine for safe and quiet towing. It comes with a stainless steel hitch pin - which is really nice you do not have to worry about corrosion. It comes with a 1-inch shank hole for 1-inch balls. It is rated for Class IV applications with a 1000-pound tongue weight and 10000-pound towing weight. And it actually tightens the ball mount in three directions: front to rear and also up left to right or up and down. Next we will cover some of the features and details and show you how it works. The ball mount comes with a tightening hitch pin, which is this part right here. This is constructed of stainless steel, and it just threads in right here. This bolt tightens up the ball mount against the hitch so it pulls against the hitch, like so. And when the ball mount gets pushed inside of the hitch, this wedge comes up and actually locks everything into position, so it does not move left to right or up and down. Also this hitch pin controls movement from forward to rearward, too, eliminating flop in the hitch that way, also. And then your ...
